I know it's just the pre-alpha, so I'll just go over the little things.

Bugs:
1: On the editor, debris 16 makes debris 17 and vice versa.
2: Sometimes, strange rectangular cut-outs appear in asteroids that you can see into the inside of the asteroid from.
3: The Autocannon sound sometimes gets stuck playing forever.
4: On the editor, you occasionally get stuck and can't move. You have to save and quit completely out before you can continue working on the sector.
5: Taking a screenshot only results in a white picture.

Suggestions:
6: Allow more features to be turned off so people with slow computers don't get killed by lag! (Like simpler smoke)
7: Clean up the ship editor and weapons assignment- it's dreadfully confusing!
8: Play some different music than just the creepy space music. I like the menu music, but I don't get to hear it for the majority of the time I play.
9: Change "Cannon" on the weapon selection to "Missiles"
10: Combine some of the special weapon buttons. I don't want to have to press five different buttons to launch different weapons. Have at most three, like Primary(Guns), Secondary(Missiles), and Special(Mines and Misc).
11: Make it so you are able to cycle weapons with the mouse wheel.

You probably hit your scroll wheel down by accident to bring the spectator movement scale to 0. Scroll up and you'll be able to move again.

Here's another bug:

If you look at the Earth or anything out of the corner of your cockpit, it gets really distorted.

If you press the P button in game it will play a random song from the menu over the creepy space music. After it's done you can press P again to play another one (but make sure the song is actually done, otherwise they'll play over each other).
I think this also works in the editor.

I don't see any distortion in that picture.

@ AlterFox: This is why there's 'only for programmers' behind the description of this feature when you hit F1 ;-)

Alterfox, I think he's referring to the egg-shapedness of it. It's probably something in the graphics engine to create a depth perception effect, but hasn't been finished, yet.

Btw, have you submitted these bugs to the email, yet?

the distorted view of the earth would be caused by the curved glass in the windsheald. curved glass does that and the efect was probably not removed when the cogpit view is off.

As for your suggestion with the music. In fact I'm really picky about music etc. and I don't want to hear flashy music in empty space. They said there is an event driven music system so it wouldn't make sense to confuse the listener with random music events if they're really supposed to signal something happening.

One thing I noticed, related to music, however is that you can turn down the volume slider completely but you still hear music in the single player starting sector when you spawn at the center of the asteroid. From there you can almost trace it, it get's louder etc. but I couldn't really find the source. It's a little disturbing though since I had the volume slider at zero.

The distortion seems to be a FOV issue. It appears that the game's stretching the image to make it wider. Rounded glass can have that effect but it's not guaranteed or a must. Since even the front glass panel is rounded it shouldn't just distort at the sides for example but also in the middle section. So I assume it's not related to rounded glass.

One more thing about your cannon renaming suggestion. I believe that it is really supposed to be a cannon although it's looking a bit missile-ish. The trails behind the projectile is making the cannons look self propelled. But well, either they'll tone down that "smoke" later or they will change it to a dumbfire missile I guess.

As for weapon cycling with the mouse wheel - as you can bind a number of systems to either the right or left button I'm not sure if I'm fond of that idea. Maybe we can just bind functions like that in the settings later but I'm happy with the current design. If the menus are being sorted properly it's not a big deal I guess.

That also goes for combining weapon selection keys. I'm not too fond of your idea. In fact it maybe leads me to the conclusion that this feature really needs an overhaul. For example I wouldn't really like machine guns to be in the same menu as sniping weapons. Spray and pray and sniping are just too different. Also there may be some non-projectile weapons. Also there will eventually be people who use missiles as primary and spray and pray as secondary etc.
Thus it'd be nice if we could choose our own order and placement.
