James Cameron and some Google guys are starting a company for asteroid mining.

An idea very close to Miner Wars.
There's going to be some announcement today, about 7 hours from now:

I didn't mean they whern't serious.
What I mean is that this is probably a good time to reinforce your roof.
...and buy some rock-falling-on-your-house-insureance.
...And prepare for some people being richer than is possible in my imaginationation. (Preferably not for the cost of my roof^^)
And I am STILL not in space.

Sounds great! I wish I had a few billion dollars to throw at asteroid mining.

It's probably not really *that* profitable considering the costs of doing it would be so high. But considering it's a way to mine resources that doesn't hurt the Earth, or human rights, or animal rights (or plant or fungal or protozoan or bacterial or archeal rights for that matter) at all, I fully support it. Let the space mining begin!

i think it is profitaple. alltough not today but as they make those first 2 phases of theyr plan it will make going to space cheaper.
and the whole plan goes around the 1 thing and that is to make space travel cheaper.
